George Truett “Trey” Jarrard, III
George Truett Jarrard, III “Trey”, CEO/Founder, Trey is an accomplished entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in private equity, project finance, real estate development, online business and digital distribution. He engineered and developed a finance structure allowing Renewvia to develop solar power systems on multi-tenant investment grade industrial buildings benefitting landlords in the form of long term roof leases and the individual tenants from the purchase of discounted power. Mr. Jarrard raised geographic specific equity to finance boutique solar power systems in multiple geographies with various state and utility financial incentives producing above market returns for the equity partners through the sale of electricity and tax benefit. Before joining Renewvia, Trey was a partner in a private equity firm where he participated in raising over $150mm in equity and acquisition and disposition of 4 digital distribution technology companies. He identified and participated in financing for the leading online consumer healthcare website, WebMD, from inception to the $5 billion acquisition by Healtheon. Mr. Jarrard is NABCEP certified and the Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
Eric brings over 15 years of entrepreneurial experience to Renewvia’s Leadership Team, providing expertise in developing new business opportunities and managing energy projects. He is an established sales leader with extensive experience in finance and project management that contributes to his effectiveness in discovering, developing, and implementing solar projects. Since 2009, Eric has acquired a large network of return clients, primarily large agricultural producers, Fortune 500 companies, and small business owners, and has executed projects in multiple geographies. Eric has participated in raising equity to finance and build solar power systems around the globe, specifically in the Southeastern US, South Pacific, Uruguay, and most recently Africa. These deals have been extremely profitable for Renewvia investors producing returns in excess of 25% through tax benefits and electricity sales. Eric has qualified for the NABCEP Sales Certification, and actively manages a global team of installation professionals that execute projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Director Latin America
After almost a decade of illiquid debt trading, Fernando was responsible for the opening of the Buenos Aires office of an English boutique investment bank as well as IXE Securities, a Latin American debt trading desk. Fernando acquired Thesis Recupero Mexico, an asset recovery company in Mexico, with more than 10,000 credits of owned portfolio. Fernando recently completed multiple commercial and residential real estate developments in Argentina, Uruguay and Ecuador. Fernando has a Latin American solar development pipeline of over $250mm with investment grade credit off-takers.
Managing Director, African Development
Pam was featured in BusinessWeek 2007 as one of the up and coming female entrepreneurs to watch in North America. Also, Fast Company designated Pam as a “Grass-root Leader.” Pam is responsible for the overall management of finance and operations in Sub Saharan Africa. She is constantly identifying and forging new business alliance partners to position Renewvia to be one of the best medium size financial advisory and solar development firms for “Emerging Market” companies, small and large. Pam has held numerous executive positions at some of the most admired American companies such as IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She was a senior regional executive at PwC responsible for overseeing operational and risk management for PwC’s fortune 100/500 clientele.
Managing Director, African Development
Clay has spent much of the last 23 years working in the Emerging Markets. He has assisted in the structuring and finance of large businesses on four continents. Clay began his career at some of the world’s largest banks, including BNP Paribas and Raiffeisen ZentralBank Austria, as an Investment Banker. Over the past eight years he has been developing sustainable, large scale, agricultural projects on behalf of major international investors throughout Africa. He has extensive knowledge of the African property and agriculture markets - a key focus of Renewvia's expansion into Africa - and has structured finance deals throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Clay has advised on the development of over 1,000,000 hectares of development land in over 15 African countries, and maintains contacts throughout the government and corporate sectors on the continent.
Project Development Director
Praveen has over 10 years of hands-on experience in developing commercial and utility-scale Solar PV projects. He specializes in financial modeling and energy analysis provides domain expertise for financing, utility and EPC agreements. In 2007, Praveen developed a proprietary solar PV and storage design, analysis and estimating tool. In 2008 he founded BrightXL LLC, energy modeling and consulting company. Praveen holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BS in Mechanical engineering from IIT Kharagpur (India). Praveen has been associated with Renewvia almost since its inception and recently joined as the Director of Project Development.
Director SPECIAL PROJECTS
Amy has a finance degree from University of Georgia and over 20 years of professional experience with large corporations and early stage companies. Amy managed multiple components of marketing, promotions and analysis for The Ritz Carlton Corporation and PriceWaterhouseCoopers in her early career days. She covered a national territory for her positions at PWC and managed initiatives for many fortune 500 companies. Amy invented a consumer kids project and took it from concept to market in less than a year. She managed manufacturing, distribution and marketing of the product growing sales exponentially year over year since inception. Amy is Director of Special Domestic and International Projects for Renewvia and identifies growth opportunities within the company’s existing client base and business sectors. She is the company’s executive liasion for public relations consultants and capital partners.
Sales and Marketing Director
With 25 years of experience in marketing and advertising, Tom brings a wide breadth of experience to Renewvia. After graduating from UGA with a degree in creative direction, Tom started his career in fashion advertising in New York in the 90’s. He then went on to receive an ancillary degree in commercial production from UCLA in the early 2000s before returning to Atlanta where he started his own ad agency. Over the past 15 years Tom’s agency has been at the forefront of brand development and marketing for companies of all sizes over many industries from real estate, music and entertainment, to pharma and healthcare, fashion and luxury, and beyond. More recently, Tom turned his creative talents to the realm of real estate development, and now he combines branding expertise with real estate production experience to help Renewvia grow in footprint as well as vision.
GORDON OLIECH ODHIAMBO
Kenya Projects Coordinator
Robinson has vast experience in managing projects in Africa and has recently joined the Renewvia team as the point person in Kenya to coordinate all Solar Development efforts for the company. He will oversee logistics detail of receiving and transporting materials in Country, as well as managing each project to completion.
Tobais is a trained and certified Solar Technician/Installer by the Energy Regulatory Commission in Kenya. He is an integral part of the Renewvia team in Africa and is responsible for managing the solar installations and complying with all local electrical codes and permitting.
Greg was the Founder and CEO of Industrial Developments International, Inc., one of the largest real estate developers in North America. IDI developed more than 115 million square feet of industrial space. Mr. Gregory retired from active management in 2007, and assumed the role of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Marion Smith, III
Marion is a proven entrepreneur and business developer with over 15 years experience building companies. He played a key role in helping to build Inktomi Corporation from a 6-employee start-up to a publicly traded company with an ultimate market cap of $25 billion in 2000. He is a veteran of start-up ventures and board level decision-making as well as a successful corporate manager and team builder.
