George Truett “Trey” Jarrard, III
Trey Jarrard is an accomplished entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in private equity, project finance, real estate development, online business and digital distribution. He founded Renewvia in 2008 to develop solar power systems in various financeable domestic geographies. Under his leadership, the company expanded its services to include international microgrid development, completing its first projects in the Marianas Islands in 2016 and Kenya in 2018. Today, Renewvia operates under an expanded mission not only to add value to its U.S. clients, but also to provide above market returns for investors while improving quality of life for people in power challenged areas globally. Creating subsidiaries in Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda, Renewvia is particularly focused on sub-Saharan Africa, where the access to energy challenge is the greatest and where Renewvia’s Rural Microgrid Development and Operation Model has the greatest potential to generate sustainable impact and return on investment..
Eric brings over 15 years of entrepreneurial experience to Renewvia’s Leadership Team, providing expertise in developing new business opportunities and managing energy projects. He is an established sales leader with extensive experience in finance and project management that contributes to his effectiveness in discovering, developing, and implementing solar projects. Since 2009, Eric has acquired a large network of return clients, primarily large agricultural producers, Fortune 500 companies, and small business owners, and has executed projects in multiple geographies. Eric has participated in raising equity to finance and build solar power systems around the globe, specifically in the Southeastern US, South Pacific, Uruguay, and most recently Africa. These deals have been extremely profitable for Renewvia investors producing returns in excess of 25% through tax benefits and electricity sales. Eric has qualified for the NABCEP Sales Certification, and actively manages a global team of installation professionals that execute projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
VP of global business development
Praveen has over 10 years of hands-on experience in developing commercial and utility-scale Solar PV projects. He specializes in financial modeling and energy analysis provides domain expertise for financing, utility and EPC agreements. In 2007, Praveen developed a proprietary solar PV and storage design, analysis and estimating tool. In 2008 he founded BrightXL LLC, energy modeling and consulting company. Praveen holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BS in Mechanical engineering from IIT Kharagpur (India). Praveen has been associated with Renewvia almost since its inception and recently joined as the Director of Project Development.
Director of Latin America
After almost a decade of illiquid debt trading, Fernando was responsible for the opening of the Buenos Aires office of an English boutique investment bank as well as IXE Securities, a Latin American debt trading desk. Fernando acquired Thesis Recupero Mexico, an asset recovery company in Mexico, with more than 10,000 credits of owned portfolio. Fernando recently completed multiple commercial and residential real estate developments in Argentina, Uruguay and Ecuador. Fernando has a Latin American solar development pipeline of over $250mm with investment grade credit off-takers.
MARKETING & Business Development
With 25 years of experience in marketing and advertising, Tom brings a wide breadth of experience to Renewvia. After graduating from UGA with a degree in creative direction, Tom started his career in fashion advertising in New York in the 90’s. He then went on to receive an ancillary degree in commercial production from UCLA in the early 2000s before returning to Atlanta where he started his own ad agency. Over the past 15 years Tom’s agency has been at the forefront of brand development and marketing for companies of all sizes over many industries from real estate, music and entertainment, to pharma and healthcare, fashion and luxury, and beyond. More recently, Tom turned his creative talents to the realm of real estate development, and now he combines branding expertise with real estate production experience to help Renewvia grow in footprint as well as vision.
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Mitchell Butler is a recent graduate from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for three years at the Georgia Tech Research Institute as a student assistant in the development of radar testing systems for military aircraft. He is responsible for project management, operations & maintenance, and supplementing engineering efforts at Renewvia.

Amy has a finance degree from University of Georgia and over 20 years of professional experience with large corporations and early stage companies. Amy managed multiple components of marketing, promotions and analysis for The Ritz Carlton Corporation and PriceWaterhouseCoopers in her early career days. She covered a national territory for her positions at PWC and managed initiatives for many fortune 500 companies. Amy invented a consumer kids project and took it from concept to market in less than a year. She managed manufacturing, distribution and marketing of the product growing sales exponentially year over year since inception. Amy is Director of Special Domestic and International Projects for Renewvia and identifies growth opportunities within the company’s existing client base and business sectors. She is the company’s executive liasion for public relations consultants and capital partners.
ASHLEY E. CHANG
STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS & ENGAGEMENT
Ashley Chang is global public affairs expert with experience driving integrated campaigns for public, private and nonprofit sectors. Prior to joining the Renewvia team, she was Executive Director and Head of Strategic Communications for Corporate Responsibility at JPMorgan Chase, where she helped rollout the firm’s landmark sustainability announcement. Previously, she spearheaded the business community outreach strategy for the Jon Ossoff Campaign for the Georgia Congressional District 6 special election, served as Director of Public Engagement at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency during the Obama administration and held positions at the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, Vital Voices Global Partnership and the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Before moving to Washington, D.C. in 2009, she was a public relations specialist at Jackson Spalding in her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.
Director of business development
Henley Odom has over a dozen years of sales, project development and relationship management experience. Henley joined Renewvia in 2015 as Director of Business Development. In this role, he works with clients across a wide range of industries to design and implement tailored commercial and community solar power systems in the U.S. and international markets. Prior to Renewvia, Henley was Key Account Manager for The Coca-Cola Company, where he oversaw multiple healthcare and university accounts and was responsible for generating several multimillion dollar contracts. He also has five years of experience in the financial services sector as Regional Sales Director for ValuTeachers, working with educators across the Southeast on retirement planning. Henley holds a bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Georgia and has completed international finance and economics programs abroad.

Brian is an Electrical Engineer graduate with considerable experience and proficiency in procurement, design and supervision of implementation to commissioning of electrical power engineering projects. He is a T3-certified technician by the Energy Regulatory Commission and has recently joined Renewvia as the Projects Engineer. He will oversee design, installations,
GORDON OLIECH ODHIAMBO
Kenya Projects Coordinator
Gordon brings over five years of experience managing solar energy projects to Renewvia’s leadership team. He has great expertise in project management, customer management, and livelihood projects related to solar energy. Prior to joining Renewvia, he worked in Kenya as a Project Leader for SteamaCo implementing Vulcan Inc.-funded rural electrification projects. Previous experience also include his role as a Field Officer for Access Energy, a non-profit organisation that focuses on empowering communities with renewable energy. Gordon recently completed an MBA (Project Management) from Kenyatta University and a B.Ed. (with IT) degree from Maseno University in Kenya.
Tobais is a trained and certified Solar Technician/Installer by the Energy Regulatory Commission in Kenya. He is an integral part of the Renewvia team in Africa and is responsible for managing the solar installations and complying with all local electrical codes and permitting.
Country Development Manager, Nigeria
Christopher is an expert in design and building consultancy who recently was employed by Pinx Consults in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. He has travelled and worked extensively throughout the Niger Delta area, and has a B.Sc in Computer Science from Rivers State University.
DIRECTOR OF AFRICAN PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
Douglas manages the engineering and implementation of Renewvia's African projects, including our proprietary mobile payments platform. After finishing his Master's in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech, where he focused on hybrid electric powertrains and systems modeling, he worked in Nepal on solar water pump product development before joining Renewvia to focus on microgrids and larger commercial/institutional projects. Douglas grew up near Atlanta, Georgia and currently lives in Kigali, Rwanda.
Greg was the Founder and CEO of Industrial Developments International, Inc., one of the largest real estate developers in North America. IDI developed more than 115 million square feet of industrial space. Mr. Gregory retired from active management in 2007, and assumed the role of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Marion Smith, III
Marion is a proven entrepreneur and business developer with over 15 years experience building companies. He played a key role in helping to build Inktomi Corporation from a 6-employee start-up to a publicly traded company with an ultimate market cap of $25 billion in 2000. He is a veteran of start-up ventures and board level decision-making as well as a successful corporate manager and team builder.
