Renewvia Subsequently Awarded Operations & Maintenance Contract for the entire SE portfolio
Rising energy costs are squeezing companies all over the country, but one sector that is well situated to take advantage of solar power is the self-storage industry. With ample roof space and higher daytime loads, storage companies are often in an ideal situation to drive cost savings by hosting or owning a solar array on their rooftops.
In early 2020, Renewvia was selected by Pivot Energy, a leading US solar developer based out of Denver, to build out the southeast United States portfolio of a leading self-storage company with a footprint that spans the entire United States.
Renewvia installed rooftop solar systems for 16 locations (total of 1185 kW) in Florida and Georgia, providing turn-key EPC services for these locations. The work presented unique challenges during a pandemic, but Renewvia worked quickly to overcome them, delivering each of the sites within a short window of time.
Renewvia was subsequently awarded Operations & Maintenance work for the entire Southeast portfolio and looks forward to providing these services to all 32 sites.
“When we were selected by Pivot, we knew this was an ideal project for Renewvia, as we have deep experience with similar types of settings and with various utility providers,” said Eric Domescik, President, Renewvia Energy. “We value our relationship with Pivot and are thrilled we were chosen to provide ongoing Operations & Maintenance support for the entire Southeastern portfolio.”
