Renewvia Energy Corporation has once again made Solar Power World magazine’s 2019 Top Solar Contractors list. Ranked by kilowatts (kW) installed in the previous year, there are 415 U.S. solar developers, subcontractors and installers within the utility, commercial and residential markets this year. International projects are not counted, so given Renewvia’s rapidly expanding global footprint, which includes scaling up our Microgrid Development and Operation Model in sub-Saharan Africa, we are extremely proud that our U.S. efforts made the Top Solar Contractors list for the fourth time.
U.S. CLIENTS REDUCE POWER BILLS | CUT EMISSIONS | SAVE MONEY
Last year, we had the opportunity to deepen our relationship with existing clients and add several new ones to our growing domestic portfolio. With projects ranging from as small as 20 kW to nearly 750 kW, Renewvia installed 1,293 kW across four southeastern states for a variety of clients, including:
Black Farms, an independent poultry farm in Batesburg, S.C., a 5,448-person town in the southwest corner of the state;
Butler Automotive Group’s new high-tech, 42,500 square-foot Audi South Atlanta dealership, located in Union City, Georgia;
Comer Distributing Co., a family-owned wholesale beer distributor that has been operating in Rock Hill, South Carolina since 1971;
FABEN Obstetrics and Gynecology’s newest medical center in Jacksonville, Florida;
Joel and Granot Real Estate, a commercial real estate brokerage firm serving the Atlanta metropolitan area;
SteelFab Inc.’s fabrication plant in Roanoke, Alabama is powered by one of the largest commercial distributed rooftop solar arrays in the state.
What does this diverse group of clients have in common?
Working with Renewvia Energy to reduce energy costs from 50 to 98 percent, offset their collective CO2 emissions by 572 metric tons and tap into Federal and state tax credits to save money — According to Solar Power World, the U.S. solar market is expected to see 14 percent growth in 2019 in part because of the rush to get projects in before the 30 percent Federal Investment Tax Credit steps down to 26 percent next year.
WHAT’S NEXT IN THE U.S.?
With the launch of our Hail Protection Campaign earlier this year, Renewvia is also doubling down on the construction of new solar canopy systems for auto dealerships located in “Hail Alley,” a region that starts in west Texas and extends up to northwest Missouri and the western Dakotas.
Designed to match each dealership’s high caliber aesthetics, including under canopy lighting, these innovative solar support structures protect cars and SUVs from costly hail damage, while producing a significant portion of the power required to operate the dealership and slicing greenhouse gas emissions.
